Search for the top audit firms in Qatar and you will find plenty of lists. Most are published by audit firms that place themselves at number one, which makes it hard to tell how the list was put together.

There is no official ranking of audit firms in Qatar. The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Qatar Financial Centre Authority and the Qatar Financial Markets Authority keep registers of approved auditors, but none of them ranks the firms on those registers.

What can be measured fairly is size. This article ranks the ten largest audit and accounting networks in the world by the revenue each reported for its 2025 financial year. All ten operate in Qatar through a member firm, and each entry sets out where that firm is based, what it offers and which auditor registers it appears on.

Quick overview

In short

  • The Big Four (Deloitte, PwC, EY and KPMG) are the four largest networks by a wide margin.
  • Six more international networks, from BDO to Crowe, complete the top ten. All have member firms in Qatar.
  • Size is not the deciding factor. The register your company needs, and the fit with your business, matter more.

QFMA: registered to audit companies listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange. Registers checked on 15 October 2026.

How we ranked the firms

Each network publishes its global revenue once a year. We used the figure each one reported for its 2025 financial year and checked the details of its Qatar firm against the firm’s own website and the public auditor registers.

The ranking is by size only. The order reflects revenue, not quality or suitability for any company. Firms do not publish their revenue in Qatar, so the figures cover each network as a whole, and because networks report on different dates and in different ways, the figures show scale rather than an exact comparison. No firm asked or paid to be included.

Why your choice of auditor matters

The audit report is often needed by more than one reader. The General Tax Authority asks for audited accounts with the corporate income tax return above set limits, and banks, investors and tender committees regularly ask for them too.

In Qatar, only auditors registered under Law No. 8 of 2020 may carry out audits, and each report is signed by a named, registered individual. Choosing a firm is therefore also choosing the person who will put their name to your accounts.

The Big Four

The first four networks are known as the Big Four. Together they earned more than US$220 billion worldwide in 2025, according to the International Accounting Bulletin’s World Survey 2026. All four have been approved to audit Qatar Financial Centre companies since 2006 and are registered with the Qatar Financial Markets Authority.

1Deloitte

Deloitte is the largest accounting network in the world, with reported revenue of US$70.5 billion for the year to May 2025. In Qatar it is registered with the QFC as Deloitte & Touche (M.E.), and its office occupies levels 25 and 26 of Burj Alfardan in Lusail. The firm is also on the QFMA list of auditors for listed companies.

Services in Qatar: audit and assurance, tax, risk and forensic services, strategy and transactions, and consulting.

2PwC

PwC reported global revenue of US$56.9 billion for the twelve months to June 2025. Its Qatar firm is registered with the QFC as PricewaterhouseCoopers ME Limited, trading as PricewaterhouseCoopers. The Doha office is in Tornado Tower in West Bay, and the firm appears on both the QFC and QFMA auditor lists.

Services in Qatar: the Qatar page lists the office only; the services are set out on PwC’s Middle East website.

3EY

EY reported US$53.2 billion in revenue for the year to June 2025. In Qatar it operates as Ernst & Young from Building 36 on Abdulla Bin Thani Street in Msheireb Downtown Doha. Like the other Big Four firms, it has been a QFC approved auditor since 2006 and is registered with the QFMA.

Services in Qatar: assurance, tax, strategy and transactions (under the EY-Parthenon name), consulting, law, managed services and sustainability.

4KPMG

KPMG reported US$39.8 billion from continuing operations for the year to September 2025. It operates in Qatar through two entities: KPMG LLC in the Qatar Financial Centre and a KPMG Qatar branch registered with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Its office is on C Ring Road in Doha.

Services in Qatar: audit and assurance, including ICV work under the Tawteen programme, advisory, tax, and KPMG Enterprise for private businesses.

The next six international networks

Outside the Big Four, the networks are much smaller and much closer to each other in size. Places 8 to 10 are separated by about US$0.3 billion, so their order can change from one year to the next.

5BDO

BDO reported US$11 billion in revenue for its member firms for the year to September 2025, and more than US$16 billion including its alliance firms. BDO Qatar operates from Palm Tower B in West Bay and has been a QFC approved auditor since 2020. It was not on the QFMA list of auditors for listed companies when we checked.

Services in Qatar: audit, tax, advisory and business services outsourcing.

6Grant Thornton

Grant Thornton reported record global revenue of US$8.5 billion for the year to September 2025. Its Qatar firm runs a single office on Al Rayyan Road in Doha. We could not confirm from the firm’s own website which entity appears on the QFC and QFMA registers, so we have marked its register status as not confirmed.

Services in Qatar: assurance, tax, advisory, and corporate accounting and outsourcing.

7RSM

RSM reported US$7.7 billion for 2025. The figure is lower than in earlier years because the network’s US and Canadian alliance firms left in 2025, while the remaining firms grew. In Qatar, RSM Auditing and Consulting & Partners operates from the second floor of Al Mirqab Tower on the Corniche and is on both the QFC and QFMA auditor lists.

Services in Qatar: audit and assurance, consulting, outsourcing, risk advisory, tax and transaction services.

8Baker Tilly

Baker Tilly International reported record revenue of US$6.8 billion for 2025, helped by the combination of Baker Tilly US with Moss Adams. It is the newest network in Qatar on this list: its member firm, Baker Tilly (Qatar), joined in January 2026. It was not yet on the QFC or QFMA auditor lists when we checked.

Services in Qatar: audit, accounting, tax, advisory and consulting.

9HLB

HLB reported global revenue of US$6.67 billion for 2025, an increase of 12 per cent. In Qatar it operates as HLB AG through two entities, Antonio Ghaleb and Partner CPA and HLB AG LLC in the Qatar Financial Centre. Its office is on the 32nd floor of The E18hteen Tower in Lusail, and it appears on both the QFC and QFMA lists.

Services in Qatar: audit and assurance, including ICV work, tax, corporate services and business advisory.

10Crowe

Crowe reported global revenue of US$6.5 billion for 2025. Its Qatar member firm is Adib Al Chaa & Co. Chartered Accountants, trading as Crowe Qatar, on the third floor of Al Mana Centre on Al Sadd Street. It has been a QFC approved auditor since 2016 and was not on the QFMA list when we checked.

Services in Qatar: audit, tax, advisory, risk, IT audit and ISO services.

Just outside the top ten are Forvis Mazars, with more than US$5.7 billion, and Moore Global, with US$5.1 billion in 2024. Both also operate in Qatar.

Which auditor does your company need?

A ranking by size answers one question: which networks are the largest. The question that matters for your company is which auditor you are allowed to appoint, and that depends on how and where your company is set up.

If you are not sure whether your company needs an audit at all, see is an audit mandatory in Qatar?. QFC and free zone companies and branches of foreign companies follow their own rules on who may audit them. Our guide to choosing and checking an auditor explains how to confirm a registration and who may sign.

Once you know which register applies, put the same four questions to each firm you are considering:

  1. 1

Who will sign the audit report?

The report is signed by a named partner or manager registered as an individual auditor. Ask who that will be and how involved they are in the work.

  2. 2

What exactly does the fee cover?

Ask for a fixed fee in a written proposal. It should set out the scope, the documents you need to provide and what happens if extra work is needed.

  3. 3

Will the timetable work for you?

If the accounts are needed for the tax return, a bank or a tender, check that the audit will finish in good time, not on the last day. Our audit preparation checklist sets out the legal dates.

  4. 4

Is the firm independent of your accounts?

An auditor cannot audit financial statements it prepared. If the same firm keeps your books, another firm has to carry out the audit.

A note for small and medium companies

The size of a network tells you little about whether it suits your company. A growing business usually benefits from asking several registered firms, including mid-sized and local ones, and comparing written proposals on the same scope.

Thiqa Consulting is one of those firms. We work with small and medium companies, start-ups and branches of foreign companies in Qatar. Our audit and assurance services explain how we work, and you can request a proposal to compare with others.

Frequently asked questions

Who are the Big Four audit firms in Qatar?

Deloitte, PwC, EY and KPMG. All four have offices in Doha, are approved to audit companies in the Qatar Financial Centre and are registered with the Qatar Financial Markets Authority to audit listed companies.

What are the Big Four accounting firms?

The Big Four accounting firms, also called the Big 4 accounting companies or Big Four CPA firms, are the four largest audit and accounting networks in the world: Deloitte, PwC, EY and KPMG. Together they earned more than US$220 billion in 2025, according to the International Accounting Bulletin’s World Survey 2026. All four have offices in Doha.

What are the top 10 accounting firms in Qatar?

The ten networks in this article are also the top accounting firms in Qatar by global size, because each provides accounting, tax and advisory work as well as audit. The top five accounting firms by 2025 revenue are the Big Four and BDO. Size alone does not show which firm suits your company: see which auditor you need, above.

Is there an official ranking of audit firms in Qatar?

No. The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the QFC Authority and the QFMA keep registers of auditors, but none of them ranks firms. Lists you find online, including this one, are put together by their publishers. This list ranks networks by their reported global revenue only.

How can I check that an auditor is licensed in Qatar?

Check the register that applies to your company: the Ministry of Commerce and Industry’s register of practising auditors, the QFC Authority’s public register of approved auditors for QFC companies, or the QFMA list of registered external auditors for listed companies. The QFC and QFMA lists are public online.

What is the difference between Big Four and mid-tier audit firms in Qatar?

Size. This article lists the 10 biggest audit firms in the world by 2025 revenue: each Big Four network reported US$39.8 billion or more, while the mid-tier networks from BDO to Crowe reported between about US$6.5 billion and US$11 billion. The legal rules are the same for all: the auditor must be on the register that applies to your company.

Does my company need a Big Four auditor?

Not usually. A company listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange needs a QFMA-registered auditor, and a QFC company needs a QFC-approved one. For most other companies, any auditor registered with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry can carry out the yearly audit. Some banks, investors or parent companies ask for a particular firm, so check with them first.

Which audit firms can audit QFC companies?

Only firms on the QFC Authority’s register of approved auditors. When we checked in October 2026, the register had 39 entries, including most of the networks in this article.

Are the Big Four the most expensive?

Firms in Qatar do not publish their fees, so there is no reliable comparison. Fees depend on the size of the company, the state of its books and the work involved. The fair way to compare is to ask several firms for a written proposal with the same scope.
